Join us for an introduction to the fundamentals of black and white photography in the chemical darkroom

Dates: Sat/Sun, July 17th and 18th 9 am – 4 pm,
Location: Albuquerque NM @ Harwood Art Studio
Beginner level.
Materials: A $65 lab fee covers the cost of the Holga camera, 120 film, negative sleeve protectors, paper and chemistry.
Students keep all materials, including the camera.
Cost: $105 (Harwood members $90)

RunningTortuga Photo Workshops has partnered with Harwood Arts Center in offering this exciting weekend classes. This course will focus on basic darkroom procedures for developing and printing black and white film using the Holga, a cheaply made medium format plastic camera. The Holga is famous for its light leaks, soft images and vignetting, as amateur and pro photographers alike love the cameras unique aesthetic. This workshop is an introduction to the fundamental issues of black and white photography in the chemical darkroom. This includes instruction on camera set-up and operation, film and projection print processing, basic light concepts and composition.
Class size is limited, so please register early.
